While Earth & Ocean makes every effort to ensure that the information available on the Website is accurate, it does not guarantee that the Website is free from errors. Earth & Ocean does not accept responsibility or liability for any errors or omissions; and reserves the right to change information published on the Website at any time.
Earth & Ocean does not accept responsibility or liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential damages or loss of profits of any kind whatsoever which may result from any use or access of, or any inability to use or access, the Website.
This general disclaimer is not restricted by any of the specific warnings and disclaimers in Earth & Ocean’s Terms and Conditions, and nothing in the Terms and Conditions derogates from Earth & Ocean’s right to comply with legal or law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Website or information provided to or gathered by Earth & Ocean with respect to that use.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Earth & Ocean reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
- In these Terms and Conditions:
- “Earth & Ocean” means Earth And Ocean Private Limited (BRN: 202311252H);
- “Event” means any class, function, party or other event that Earth & Ocean runs, organises or holds, whether on its own or where engaged to do so;
- “Premises” refers to any and all locations owned or rented by Earth & Ocean;
- “The site” or “Website” refers to the whole or any part of the web pages located at www.anattaca.sg;
- “We” and “us” refers to Earth & Ocean and “our” has the same meaning.;
- “You” refers to any client, customer or participant of any event and “your” has the same meaning
COURSES & CLASSES
General terms and conditions for all events (including scheduled classes, corporate classes, private functions, off-site hires, chef consultancy services.
- All prices are nett, prices, unless expressly stated otherwise.
- The dates, instructors, duration and content of courses are subject to change, and Earth & Ocean will email or call you, based on the information you provide to you of any changes in advance. The version on the website is the most updated and overrides other versions.
- Please take note of your event date in your calendar, as Earth & Ocean will not send any reminders prior to the event.
- Unless expressly stated otherwise in these Terms and Conditions, all purchases or payments are non-refundable and non-transferrable to another date or event. Earth & Ocean will not offer refunds, transfers, change of dates or postponements should you be unable to attend any booked or confirmed event or, in the case of corporate or private events, after you have signed our Proposal to you, due to any unforeseen circumstances or any other reason whatsoever, except in Earth & Ocean’s sole and absolute discretion.
- In the unlikely event of unforeseen exceptional circumstances, Earth & Ocean reserves the right to change the date of or cancel an event. If that occurs, a refund of any payment made will be offered.
- If in the reasonable opinion of a member of staff working for us you are not fit to attend an event, for example, if you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or likely to disturb or harm others at the event, the staff member may refuse to let you attend the event.
- Occasionally, our staff may take photographic or video images of activities at events for our advertising, publicity or sponsorship purposes. If you do not wish to be included in such, please inform us in writing prior to the event, failing which you irrevocably waive any and all rights which you may have now or in the future including but without limitation any of your rights under the Copyright Act as may be amended from time to time or any similar laws of any jurisdiction, and acknowledge Anatta Culinary Academy’s right to use your name, likeness and voice and any biographical details, photographs and recordings of you in all media and formats throughout the universe including but not limited to Anatta Culinary Academy’s website and in advertising, publicity, or sponsorship.
- Please note that Earth & Ocean and its subsidiaries handles products which may contain common allergens, including, but not limited to, seafood, eggs, dairy, nuts, grains, and soybeans, and cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. Please notify us of your dietary and allergen requirements in the checkout page. Alternatively, you may email us at journey@anattaca.sg, drop us an enquiry form, or Whatsapp us, and let us know your requirements. We will do our best to accommodate your dietary and allergen requirements by adjusting your individual portions; however, we are not responsible for any incidents that may occur from a participant’s failure to declare any such dietary or allergen requirements and conditions, or for anyone who consumes the food you may take home from the courses.
- These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore and you irrevocably and unconditionally submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
Cancellation Of Class Booking (Not Applicable to Corporate/Private Classes & Events)
- Fees for scheduled classes must be paid fully in advance in order to secure your booking. Your booking is only confirmed once full payment has been received. Once your booking is confirmed, no refunds or transfers to another class will be given. Bookings are essential as class sizes are limited and Earth & Ocean assumes financial and other commitments once a booking is made.
- If you are unable to make it for the course, and we are not informed at least one (1) week in advance, we highly recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place, payment will be fully forfeited regardless of the unforeseen circumstances. We recommend that you arrange for someone to attend in your place. Please inform us of the person who will be attending in your place.
Cancellation/Refund Policy
- Cancellations requested within one (1) week before the course start date

Transfer Policy
- Transfers requested within two (2) days before the course start date

Cancellation of Courses/Classes (By Earth & Ocean)
- A minimum number of persons is required to proceed with a class, it varies with the type of class.
- In the unlikely event that a scheduled class does not reach the minimum number required for the class or due to unforeseen exceptional circumstances, Earth & Ocean reserves the right to change the date of, or cancel, the class. If that occurs, a refund of any payment will be offered.
SPECIFIC TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR KITCHEN RENTAL AND CORPORATE/PRIVATE CLASSES & EVENTS
- We cater to a minimum of 6 persons and a maximum of 20 persons for hands-on class (depends on the type of workshop), which includes rental of space, a recipe pack for every participant, ingredients, engaging the instructor and all the kitchen equipment needed.
- Bookings are subject to the availability of the instructor and venue. However, you may advise us of your preferred class and instructor.
- All events must be guaranteed by a 50% non-refundable deposit by credit card, telegraphic transfer (TT) or PayNow within 10 days from the date of confirming the preferred Proposal to secure the venue for the agreed date, followed by the remaining 50% one month before the date of the class. The deposit is non-refundable; however, the remaining 50% balance will be refunded (if already paid) within 14 days from the date of cancellation if notice of the cancellation is given at least 14 days prior to the class. No refund will be made for notices given within 14 days to the class date. No exceptions or waivers will be given once you have signed our Proposal to you.
- All banking-related and TT charges are borne by you; while all credit card charges are absorbed by Earth & Ocean.
ADDITIONAL TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR GIFT VOUCHERS
- All gift vouchers are to be purchased online through Earth & Ocean’s Website.
- Gift vouchers are sold as vouchers only and are not redeemable for cash.
- Vouchers are valid indefinitely unless stated otherwise. If you have purchased a voucher and are unable to redeem it for personal use, you are welcome to transfer the voucher to another person and confirm the person attending in your place.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT & RELEASE
- You agree to comply with and abide by Earth & Ocean’s safety and health directions, fire and safety regulations and security arrangements. You will fully and truthfully disclose to Earth & Ocean in writing any allergy, medical condition, pregnancy, dietary requirements or other relevant health information pertaining to you or your child/ward at the time of your booking as requested in Earth & Ocean’s order form.
- While Earth & Ocean takes all practical and reasonable attempts to minimise any risk of injury to you and/or your child/ward’s persons or properties, you acknowledge that you and/or your child/ward’s attendance or participation at any event is at your/your child/ward’s own risks. You release and indemnify Earth & Ocean, its employees, servants, agents and service providers from any and all claims, actions, suits, proceedings, liabilities, damages, losses, compensation, costs, charges and expenses whatsoever in any way arising out of or resulting from your and/or your child/ward’s attendance or participation in an event including, without limitation, any and all claims, actions, and liabilities for injury, loss or damage to you and/or your child/ward, to anyone else or to any property, unless the same was caused by the gross negligence of Earth & Ocean and recoverable on that ground following judgement of a competent court of final judgement.
- In the case of an accident or emergency, you authorise the staff of Earth & Ocean to arrange for yourself and/or your child/ward to receive such medical care, assistance, treatment, or services as Earth & Ocean may deem necessary. You also undertake to release, discharge, relinquish, hold harmless, pay and reimburse to Earth & Ocean all costs or expenses in respect of any medical care, assistance, treatment or services provided to you and/or your child/ward at any time whether such are provided by health care professionals, paramedics, or any other person.
- You will reimburse Earth & Ocean for any damage to its property, facilities, and amenities, caused by yourself and/or your child/ward (including all equipment and structures within the premises) while you and/or your child/ward are on the premises.
- Earth & Ocean accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any property lost on our premises. If any property has been left behind and found by a member of our staff, please arrange with us to collect such property at a convenient time. Any lost property which has not been claimed within 90 days will be disposed of at our discretion.
OTHER INFORMATION
- You consent to Earth & Ocean’s Privacy Policy, which is an integral part of these Terms & Conditions.
- If any provision, part of any provision, or any part of these Terms & Conditions shall for any reason be properly adjudged by any court or other legal and/or competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable in any respect, the legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions or parts contained herein shall not in any way be affected or impaired.
- Earth & Ocean is not halal-certified.
- Earth & Ocean does not offer disabled-friendly facilities. If you require such assistance, do contact us to see if we can make arrangements to accommodate them.
- For hands-on classes, for your own safety and protection, you are advised to wear closed, flat, rubber-soled shoes and not shorts, short skirts or sleeveless tops in case anything hot should splash on you.
- There will be individual cubby holes for storage of your bags.
- Courses start promptly, so please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled course start time. If you are late, we will not be obliged to conduct the course for you from the beginning.
- Please be neat and tidy during the course, and keep the kitchen and your worktop clean and uncluttered. You are not expected to wash your equipment, unless the same equipment or utensils are required in the course of the menu.
- Please refrain from answering calls during your courses, unless in emergency situations.
- If you require a replacement set of recipes, an administration charge of $15 (inclusive of GST) will apply. The charge includes the cost of local postage. The date of your class must be no earlier than 3 months from the date of your request in order for us to verify your attendance at the course. Due to copyright issues, this service is subject to permission from the respective Chefs to reprint the recipes.
- Please respect the kitchen, instructors and your fellow participants at all times.
- Please note that our Academy at Neil Road does not offer disabled-friendly facilities. If you have such needs, please consider attending classes at our Academy at Quayside Isle, Sentosa Cove.
- For students driving to Anatta Culinary Academy at Neil Road, due to limited parking available along Bukit Pasoh Road, we recommend parking at the public carpark across Neil Road, at The Pinnacle@Duxton.
- Anatta Culinary Academy at Neil Road is located between Outram Park (EWL/NEL/TEL) and Maxwell MRT (TEL). We are a 5-minute walk away from Exits 4 or 5 from Outram Park MRT, or Exit 3 from Maxwell MRT. Anatta Culinary Academy at Quayside Isle, Sentosa Cove is accessible by Sentosa Bus B (alight at W Hotel).
