In this class, we explore the techniques behind making Baked Kuih Lapis, a rich and aromatic layered cake inspired by traditional Southeast Asian flavours. Unlike the steamed version, this kuih is baked layer by layer, creating a beautifully caramelised and buttery texture.

You will learn both the classic original (or prune) and fragrant pandan variations. This cake is also elderly friendly because this recipe has been developed to be less sweet and less oily.
